Ingredients
1 fresh coconut when grated came to 3.5 cups
Out of this 3.5 cups I took half cup grated coconut to make coconut milk by blending with warm water in a mixer . This is entirely optional. I like the sweet taste that it gives the recipe.
8 cups boiled rice (Take raw rice....white rice at that)
1/4 cup roasted cashewnuts
1.5 tbsp chana dal'
1 tbsp urad dal
3 red chillies
6 green chillies
3 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp curry leaves
1/4 tsp asafoetida or hing powder
1 tbsp ghee
1 tsp mustard seeds
