Ingredients
Suji - 1 cup
Hing - 1/2 tsp
Mustard seed- 1tsp
Chaana dal- 1/2 tbsp
Urad dal- 1/2 tbsp
Curry leaves
Onions- 1
Tomato- 1
Salt -2 tsp
Green chillies
method
1- roast suji till it is light brown
2- heat oil in a pan
3- add mustard seeds , urad dal and channa dal roast them for a while
4- add peanuts and roast them as well
5- now add potatoes, in most of the recipes they add onions and some time onions might get over cooked but by this method onions get cooked just as we need it
6- now add onions and cook them till they become translucent
7- add chopped green chillies and tomatoes and also salt. cook them for a while
8- now add water and let it come to a boil . water should be added with the ratio of 1:3 .
9 - now add suji gradually and cook them till suji absorbs water
10- your suji upma is now ready serve it with chopped coriander leaves and nylon sev on top
