sooji ke gulab jamun | सूजी के गुलाब जामुन बनाने की आसान विधि | Suji gulab jamun recipe

 

Ingredients to make Gulab Jamun recipe:

To make the Gulab Jamun dough

1/2 cup sooji (fine variety)

2 Cup milk

2 tsp Ghee/Clarified butter

1 tsp Maida/All purpose flour

1 tsp Ghee/ Clarified butter

2 tsp sugar.

For making a sugar syrup for the Gulab Jamun

1 cup of water

1 cup of sugar

1/4 tsp saffron strands

1/4 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp cardamom powder

 

How to make sooji ke Gulab Jamun Soft & spongy Gulab Jamun made with Sooji/semolina, milk, ghee/clarified butter & sugar.

Take 1/2 cup sooji in a pan. Dry roast it for 3-4 minutes on low flame. Keep it aside.

Heat 1 cup water & 1 cup sugar. Mix it till sugar dissolves.

Add saffron strands 1/4 Tsp. Sugar syrup should be sticky. Switch off the flame.

Add 1/4 tsp lemon juice & 1 tsp cardamom powder to the prepared sugar syrup.

Sugar syrup ready.

cover and keep it aside. Heat 2 Cup milk in a pan.

Stir when it comes up to a boil. Add 2 tsp Ghee/Clarified butter Let the milk reduce.

Add roasted sooji/semolina.

It will come to a dough consistency.

Switch off the flame.

Transfer it to a mixing bowl.

Add 1 tsp Maida/All purpose flour, 1 tsp Ghee/ Clarified butter & 2 tsp sugar. Mix it.

Knead for 5 minutes until the dough is smooth & non-sticky.

Take a small portion and roll it.

Make a smooth crack free balls (Gulab Jamun).

Same way makes balls with the rest of the dough. Heat oil.

The oil should not be too hot.

Put the prepared Gulab Jamun.

Fry it on a low flame

. Fry till Gulab Jamuns are golden on all sides.

Put all the fried gulab jamuns in warm sugar syrup

. Let it soak the syrup.

Keep it covered for at least 1 hour.

Gulab Jamuns are ready.
