SOOKHI GULAB JAMUN (MITHAI) [DRY GULAB JAMUN (SWEET)]

 

INGREDIENTS:

250 grams Khova (This is available in shops of Sweet-makers in the market),

100 grams of All-purpose flour(maida),

very small quantity of Baking Soda (a pinch),

Vegetable ghee (Dalda) as per need,

700 grams of Sugar,

Water

METHOD:

Sugar Syrup is needed for making the sweet dry Gulab Jamuns. Therefore, put 700 grams of Sugar in a steel cooking pot (Kadhai). Afterwards pour equal quantity of water. Boil both for 5-6 minutes. When the sugar syrup is made keep it in a separate steel utensil. Take 250 grams of Khova. Mix this thoroughly with 100 grams of Maida (All-purpose flour) and put very small quantity of Baking Soda (a pinch). Afterwards apply Vegetable Ghee (Dalda) on the palm and make round Jamun-like shapes from Khova mixture. Then, fry round Jamun-like shapes of Khova mixture in hot Vegetable Ghee (Dalda) till these turn to golden red colour. Afterwards you transfer fried Gulab Jamuns to a container with hot Sugar Syrup. Keep them for 20 minutes. Because during this duration, Gulab Jamun absorb most of Sugar Syrup. Hence Gulab Jamuns are ready for serving. Enjoy the delicious taste of Gulab Jamuns on eating.
