Ingredients:
Pizza base
• 2 cups Maida
• 1/2 cup Curd
• 1/2 tsp Baking powder
• 1/2 tsp Baking soda
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Olive oil
• Water Pizza Sauce
• 1 cup Tomato puree
• 1/2 tsp shredded Garlic
• 1/2 tsp Chili flakes
• 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
• 1 tsp Italian seasoning
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Powdered sugar For Pizza
• Olive oil
• Mozzarella cheese
• Diced yellow Capsicum
• Diced red Capsicum
• Diced green Capsicum
• Sliced Baby corns
Method: For Pizza Base:
• In a dish take maida.
• Sieve the maida before using.
• Add curd, baking powder, baking soda, salt to taste, olive oil and mix everything well together.
• The curd should be at room temperature.
• You can use any other refined oil instead of olive oil.
• Add a little water at a time and knead semi soft dough
. • The consistency should be somewhat like puran poli dough. It should not be stiff.
• If the dough sticks to hand then spread a little oil on the hand and knead the dough for at least 10-15 minutes to make it nice and soft.
• Transfer the dough into a bowl, cover and rest it for about 7-8 hours or overnight.
• Take a jali that is generally used to roast the papad
. • You also can use the base of suji strainer or the dish that we place at the bottom of the cooker or a little deep dish.
• When the dough is well fermented take a small portion of the dough. Make it nice and even.
• Roll it evenly a little bigger than the jali in which we are making the pizza.
• Cover and rest it for about 15-20 minutes at a warm place for proofing. For Pizza Sauce:
• Take tomato puree into a bowl.
• Add garlic, chili flakes, black pepper powder, Italian seasoning, salt to taste, powdered sugar and mix everything well together.
• Rest the sauce for about 1-2 hours.
• Pizza sauce is already.
For Pizza:
• Prick the pizza base with fork or knife.
• Brush a little oil on the pizza base so that it won’t be soggy after spreading the sauce.
• Spread the pizza sauce on the base.
• Spread mozzarella cheese, yellow capsicum, red capsicum, green capsicum and baby corns.
• You can add veggies of your choice
. • Heat up a pan on lowest possible heat and put the jali containing pizza on it. • No need to preheat the pan. Do not use non-stick pan.
• Remove the ring and whistle from the cooker lid and cover the pizza with it.
• Bake the pizza for about 15-20 minutes.
• Turn off the gas and let the pizza be on the hot pan for another 10 minutes.
• Remove the lid and take the pizza out of the jali.
