Shakkar Para / Shankarpali - Indian Tea Time Snacks - Sweet Snacks Recipe By Ruchi Bharani

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)

Salt

Flour

Method:

- Put sugar, water and put them to boil

- Mix well and wait till all the sugar dissolves

- Pour ghee and let the syrup boil for 2 -- 3 mins on low flame

- Take off the boiling syrup off the flame and pour it in a bowl and let it cool

- Add pinch of salt, enoughflour to make a soft kneaded dough

- Take a portion of the dough and roll it into 2 'mm thick roti

- Cut them into small square or diamond shaped pieces

- Deep fry them till golden brown in color in medium flame - Once done, take them out on kitchen towel.

- Cool them and store them in air tight container
