Ingredients:-
3 ½ cups Bottle gourd, grated
3 ½ cups full-fat milk
½ tsp. Cardamom powder
½ cup Sugar
A few drops green food colouring (optional)
3 tbsp. Ghee
10-12 Pistachios for garnish
Method:-
- Heat ghee in a pan and sauté the bottle gourd till it turns translucent.
- Add the milk and cardamom powder and bring to a boil.
- Simmer and stir occasionally.
- When the halwa is almost dry add the sugar and the food colour.
- Stir for 5-10 minutes till the moisture has evaporated. Doodhi Halwa is ready to serve!
