Lemon Pickle Recipe South Indian Style // Nimbu Ka Achar // Lime Pickle at home

INGREDIENTS ----------------------

Lemon/lime -- 5

Red chilli powder -- 3 teaspoon

Oil -- 1 cup

Cumin powder

Turmeric powder -- 1/2 teaspoon

Fenugreek powder -- 1/4 teaspoon

Cumin powder -- 1 1/4 teaspoon

Mustard powder -- 1/2 teaspoon

Garlic -- 8 to 10

Salt -- 1 teaspoon or as per taste

Curry leaves -- few

Cumin seeds -- few

Mustard seeds -- few

Dried red chillies -- 2 to 3

METHOD --------------

1. Cut lemon into 4 pieces each

2.Into these pieces add red chilli powder, fenugreek powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, fenugreek powder, mustard powder, mashed garlic and salt.

3. Mix them well 4.Heat some oil and add curry leaves...cumin seeds...mustard seeds..and dried red chillies.

5.Let the oil cool then add it to the lemon mix.

6.Store it in an airtight plastic box and leave aside for 20 to 25 days.

7.For every 2 to 3 days open the box and check and mix the lemon mixture.

8.Within 20 to 25 days our pickle will be ready.
