Jigarthanda | Mallika Badrinath Recipes | Summer Special Juice

Jigardhanda (Madurai Special)

INGREDIENTS

Badam Pisin - 10 gms (plant gum)

Chilled Thick Milk - 1/2 Litre

Saffron Ice Cream or Kesar Kulfi - 3 Ice Cubes

- Little Condensed Milk

- 1/4 Cup Saffron

- Few Strands

METHOD

1. Break Badam Pisin to small tiny pieces and soak in enough water for minimum 6 to 7 hours.

2. Add chilled milk, powdered sugar or condensed milk, ice cream and few ice cubes in a mixie and blend once in whipper mode.

3. Serve in a tall glass with more ice cream on top.

Different ways of serving:

1. One can add diced jelly crystals as a layer.

2. Fruit salad as a layer.

3. Rose syrup can be used with milk.
