Ingredients
: Bittergourd|Karela- 500kg
Thinly Sliced Onion-1
Chopped Green Chillies-3
Jaggery-20g
Tamarind-10g
Red Chilly powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
salt to taste
oil for Cooking
Preparation:
-Firstly peel and remove seeds of karela -wash thorougly and sliced Thinly.
-In a bowl,Transfer Sliced Karela.
-Add Turmeric powder and salt(mix it well) -keep aside for 10-15 minutes.
-After in a small bowl add jaggery and tamarind, Adding warm water and keep aside. -now heat pan adding 1 tbsp of oil.
-Meanwhile tightly squeeze karela (Removing excess water from Karela).
-add into pan and saute for 15 minutes or till turns crispy.
-keep aside.
-Again heat pan,Adding 4-5 tbsp of oil.
-Add sliced onion and green Chillies.
-saute till onion turns brown.
-now Add red chilly powder, Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder And Salt to taste.
-stir 1/2 minute.
-Now add Sauted Karela and mix well.
-After add Jaggery-tamarind Water and lastly saute for 1 minute.
-serve with Chapati
