Carom seeds – ½ tsp
Ginger, garlic paste – 1 tsp (garlic optional)
Asafoetida – a pinch
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 2 tsp
cumin-coriander powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Sugar –
1 tsp Lemon –
2 to 3 tbsp Baking/cooking soda –
¼ tsp Water – (if required)
