Ingredients:
• 2 chopped Onions
• 1 chopped Tomato
• 4~5 Garlic cloves
• Chopped Ginger
• 2~3 tsp Oil
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1 tbsp Garam masala
• 1 tbsp Coriander powder
• 1~2 tsp Red chili powder
• 1/2 tsp Besan
• 1 cup fresh Matar
• Hot Water
• Salt to taste
Method:
• Take chopped onions in a blender jar
• Add tomato, garlic, ginger and blend everything into fine paste.
• Remove the water that is floating over the blended masala.
• This reduces the cooking time.
• Heat up oil in a pan.
• Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
• Add blended masala and mix well.
• Fry on medium heat until all the water is evaporated from masala or for about 7-8 minutes. The masala should be nice and dry.
• Add garam masala, coriander powder, red chili powder and mix well.
• Fry everything well on medium heat until oil is released.
• Add besan and fry for about a minute
. • Besan gives nice binding to gravy.
• Add fresh matar and mix well.
• Cover and cook on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes.
• Add hot water depending what consistency you want.
• Add salt and mix well.
• Cover and cook on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes.
• You can do all this process in cooker too.
• Cook on medium heat until one whistle.
• Matar masala is already.
• You can have this matar masala with roti, naan.
• It goes well with bhakari or chapatti too.
