Ingredients:
Green peas-2 cups
Coriander seeds-3 tsp
cumin seeds-1 tsp
Red chillies-4-5
Garlic-10-12
Mustard oil-2 tbsp
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Onion-1 sliced
Potato-2 diced
Salt-to taste
Turmeric-1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Coriander leaves-2 tbsp
Method:
1- Grind a coarse paste out of green peas.
2- For masala paste in a grinder jar add coriander seeds, garlic and red chilli and make a fine paste by adding a little water.
3- Now in a kadhai add mustard oil and add cumin seeds and hing, when it starts to crackle add onion and sauce for 30 seconds.
4- Add potatoes and sauce for 4-5 minutes till potatoes are roasted well.
5- Next add masala paste and cook it till oil separates by adding salt and turmeric in between.
6- Once masala separates oil add green peas paste and cook it very well for about 7-8 minutes or till when green peas are cooked nicely.
7- Now add 2 cups of water and cook for 3-4 minutes.
8- Add garam masala and coriander powder mix well and turn off the flame.
9- Serve hot with rice.
