RIDGE GOURD MASALA

INGREDIENTS:

Ridge gourd 1 nos

Sesame seeds 1 tsp

Ground nuts 1 tbs

Tomato ½ slice

Onion 1 nos

Red chilly powder 1 tsp

Coriander powder ¼ tsp

Cumin powder ¼ tsp

Turmeric powder ¼ tsp

Coriander leaves ½ bunch

Salt To taste

Oil 1-2 tbs

Tamarind juice ¼ cup

METHOD:

1. Peel skin of ridge gourd and slit like as shown in video.

2. In the mixie jar blend dry roasted sesame seeds into powder.

3. To it add ground nuts, tomato, onion, red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, salt and blend into smooth paste.

4. Check for seasoning and stuff this mixture in ridge gourd,

5. Heat little oil in a pan, place stuffed ridge gourd and cook for 5 mins on slow flame with lid on it.

6. Add tamarind juice, and leftover masala and cook with lid on it.

7. Atlast add coriander leaves and mix slightly.

8. Now ridge gourd masala is ready to serve with rice.
