MOONG DAL AND RIDGEGOURD DAL - Mrs Vahchef

INGREDIENTS:

Ridge gourd 1-2 nos

Oil 3 tbs

Mustard seed 1 tsp

Cumin seeds 1 tsp

Garlic 8 cloves

Curry leaves 1 sprig

Onion(chopped) 1 nos

Moong dal 1 cup

Green leaves 3 nos

Turmeric powder ½ tsp

METHOD:

1. Soak the moong dal for 30 mins.

2. Remove the peel of ridge gourd and cut into pieces.

3. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seed, cumin seeds, garlic, green leaves, onions, curry leaves, salt and saute it.

4. Add ridge gourd and turmeric powder and mix thoroughly and place the lid and cook it on slow flame.

5. To it add moong dal, sufficient water and mix thoroughly and place the lid and cook it for 10 mins.

6.Now the moong dal and ridge gourd dal is ready to serve with rice.
