Ingredients
- 100gms of coriander seeds
- 50 gms of Cinnamon
- 25 gms of cloves
- 25 gms of black cardamom
- 50 gms of cumin
- 25 gms of cardamom
- 25 gms of black pepper
- 10 gms of shahi jeera
- 10 gms of star anise
- 10 gms of mace
- 2 nutmeg
Method
- Roast the coriander seeds on low flame for 3-4 minutes and keep aside to cool.
- One by one repeat the same with cinnamon,cumin,green cardamom, cloves and black cardamom.
- Grind the roasted coriander seeds in to fine powder and keep it aside in a bowl. - Grind together roasted cinnamon,cumin,green cardamom and cloves
- Roast shahi jeera, bay leaves and black pepper.
- Grind jeera and shahi jeera together. - Grind together roasted black cardamom and bay leaves.
- Roast mace, nutmeg and star anise together.
- Grind roasted black pepper.
- Grind together roasted mace, nutmeg and star anise.
- Mix all the grinded powder together.
- Garam masala is ready!
