No Onion No Garlic
Palak Paneer
Servings - 2 - 3
INGREDIENTS
Paneer - 280 grams
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger - 1 tablespoon
Water - 1.5 litres
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Spinach - 700 grams
Tomato - 260 grams
Ginger - 2 tablespoons
Green chili - 1 tablespoon
Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Butter - 30 grams
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Fresh cream - 70 grams
PREPARATION
1. In a mixing bowl, add 280 grams paneer, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon ginger and mix it well.
2. Marinate for 10 - 15 minutes.
3. Heat 1.5 litres water in a heavy skillet, add 1/2 teaspoon salt and bring it to a boil.
4. Add 700 grams spinach and mix it well.
5. Again bring it to a boil.
6. Boil for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
7. Remove it from heat and transfer this into a blender and blend it into a smooth puree.
8. In a blender, add 260 grams tomato, 2 tablespoons ginger, 1 tablespoon green chili, 1/2 teaspoon red chili and blend it into a smooth puree.
9. Keep aside.
10. heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet, add the marinated paneer in it and mix it well.
11. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat or until it turns golden brown in color.
12. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
13. Heat 30 grams butter in a skillet, add the blended tomato puree and mix it well.
14. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon coriander powder and mix it well.
15. Then, add the blended spinach puree and mix it again.
16. Bring it to a boil.
17. Add 70 grams fresh cream and mix it well.
18. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
19. Now, add the cooked paneer and mix it well.
20. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
21. Remove it from heat.
22. Garnish with fresh cream.
23. Serve hot.
