Dal fry dhaba style by Chef Shaheen

Ingredients

Tuar dal.................................................................................. 1 cup (soaked 20 mins &boiled with 1/4 tsp turmeric powder & 1/4 tsp salt)

Tomatoes finely chopped.........................................…………….. 2 large size

Onion finely chopped..............................................…………….. 1 med.size

Green chilli finely chopped..........................................………….. 3

Cumin seed...............................................................………….. 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder........................................................………….. 1/2 tsp

Salt.......................................................................…………….. 1 tsp Red

chilli powder...........................................................……….. 1-1/2 tsp

Ol..........................................................................…………….. 1 tbs

Ghee.....................................................................…………….. 2 tbs

Coriander..................................................................………….. 1 tsp

Garam masala powder.............................................. ………….. 1 tsp

Ginger garlic paste.................................................…………….. 1/2 tsp

Mathod

1)) Soak tur dal for 15-20 min.Wash it boil it with turmeric powder & chilli powder & salt.

 

2) Put oil heat up the oil,add cumin,onion,green chilli and let it turn little brown,add ginger & garlic paste add turmeric powder and red chilli powder add garam masala powder,salt and tomatoes.Fry till tomatoes become salt add little bit of water.Cook for 2-3 min.Add boiled dal to the tomato fry.Mix all well add desi ghee to dal cook well for 2-3 min.Add water if you require.Serve hot with coriander and green chillis on top.

3) It tastes awesome with tandoori roti.
