Beerakaya Pappu - Ridge Gourd Dal | Episode #91

Beerakaya Pappu :

Method:

Peel and Cut the ridge gourd into small pcs.

Rinse dal under cold water and Add Ridge gourd pcs.

Add water and cook for 5 whistles or until dal is cooked.

Once it is cooked, using hand blender grind into coarse mixture.

Now for tempering, Heat Ghee in a pan.

Add Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds, Dried Red chilli, Curry Leaves, crushed Garlic pods, Hing, and add tumeric and chilli powder and mix wel.

Then add cooked Dal, Tamarind concentrate, salt to tate and bring to boil.

Finally Garnish with Corriander Leaves and Serve with rice or roti.
