Ingredients:-
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup Oats flour (grind quick Oats )
1/2 cup pure desi ghee (clarified butter) either slightly cold or at room temperature
1 Cup jaggery
sugar (gur )
Pinch of salt
10-12 chopped cashews
3-4 tbsp Milk
Method :-
In a bowl add wheat flour, Oats flour and ghee. Rub the mixture with hands until you get a sand like texture.
Now add sugar, salt and chopped cashews.
Mix again ...after this gradually add milk and prepare a dough. Don't kneed the dough. Bind it with soft hands.
Prepare a log shape and rap the dough tin a foil. Keep the dough in the refrigerator for 20-30 min.
In between in a cooker add salt at the bottom ( add the amount of salt that will cover the entire base) now cover the cooker with the lid ( remove the whistle & rubber from the lid) switch on the heat & preheat the cooker on medium to low heat for 6-8 min.
After 30 min Take the dough out of the freezer and foil.
Take a sharp knife and slice semi thin pieces Take a Idli maker and grease the moulds with ghee.
Place the biscuits in the moulds.
Place the Idli stand in the pressure cooker ...cover with lid..cook on very low heat for 18-20 min.
After 10 min take out & check if needed flip the biscuits...keep checking again. ( Every coking gas is difficult in terms of heat, hence checking in between is highly recommended) you can also bake it in oven.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-22 min at 170c
