Tomato -2 1/2 big

Cumin seeds-1/2tsp

Fenugreek Powder-1/4tsp
Asafoetida powder-1pinch

Sugar -1/2tsp
Hot water -11/2cup
Oil -for frying
Method
Deep fry potato and keep aside . Heat oil and splutter cumin seeds . Then add onion,ginger ,garlic ,salt and green chilli .Saute for 5 minutes in medium heat . Now add coriander leaves and kasoori methi ..mix well . Reduce the heat and add all powders and saute until raw smell goes . Now add tomato and cook well by closing the kadai . Now add hot water ..mix well .. boil for 5 minutes . Then add sugar and fried potato .. mix well Cook for another few minutes till the gravy reduces .. Check the taste and adjust .. Garnish with green chilli,ginger and coriander leaves . So the tasty Aloo karahi is ready to taste . Goes well with chapati,paratha ,naan etc .. Enjoy
